Entrepreneurs, freelancers, students and sometimes employees spend a lot of time and energy trying to be more productive. Tutorials, magazines, coaches and blogs like 21 lives gives you hundreds of ways to increase your efficiency but, we rarely stop to wonder why we’re trying to be so damn productive.

Is it to work more or to free ourselves from work? To do more of the same or to have the luxury to rethink our approach?

More productivity breeds more expectations, stress and disappointment. It can be a very difficult cycle to break.

This year (Happy New Year !), why don’t you reinvest the time being productive saves you into a new project, a new idea or a new way of doing things?

You can do more of the same faster or try something new; there is such a thing as being ridiculously productive. Blind efficiency may not be what you’re seeking.
