How safe do you really need to be?

I had a great plan.

My consulting business was to support my startup and vice-versa. Similar market + opportunities to cross-sell = good strategy?

Not quite; turns out that putting in half the work in each venture was giving me half the results – something supported by the results of focusing on a single business afterwards.

It may be scary but, your safety net, side project or backup plan is actually a crutch keeping you from investing your whole attention where it should be (on your business).

Be All In, fully commit to a single project. You may not be extremely busy at first but, don’t worry, this is your chance to be strategic and make things happen. Safety will merely make you lose focus.
