Marketing is Dirty

We’d all like to think (thanks to schooling perhaps) that, great work will always be recognized and that people will just see how good we are or how good our blog or product is. But, the reality is that, no one will come knocking at your door with your ticket to fame – your product probably won’t pick up by itself.

Promotion, marketing and advertising are necessary evils. Resenting promotion is one of the greatest obstacles to your success. You need to learn to sell and play the game.

Your marketing doesn’t have to be big, flamboyant or expensive; just make sure that resentment isn’t an issue come time to land that big gig.
