Always have a final decision-maker (Ben Yoskovitz).
(Work) Incentives should never be monetary because it switches the calculation to salary compensation (Dan Ariely). Think Google high-end cafeteria as a good incentive. Hard to put a price on it.
With business partners, always aim for maximum face to face collaboration.
